Building Projects
Inner city Airbnb retreat
For this project I converted a dilapidated 1920’s concrete block building into a fully self contained tiny house for short stay accomodation. The tiny footprint at 30m2 (10x3m) required clever use of space and minimalist living design and for the aesthetic I went to town on the rustic / reclaimed / industrial look with a recycled pallet timber vaulted ceiling and lots beautiful reclaimed timber, exposed rafters and live edge bench tops and a lot of Shou Sugi Ban (charred timber) throughout.
Warehouse Conversion
This is a renovation project transforming a small warehouse into two split level appartments now operated as fully automated short stay accomodation near the beach in Semaphore, South Australia.
Round House Build
This yurt inspired design was a super fun project! We custom designed a 17 sided round house with rigid timber construction rather than lattice and canvas. 32 Exposed rafters extend to a central crown ring which forms the structural integrity and creates a stunning geometric architectural visual piece in the space. Sitting on an incredible poured adobe floor this project is situated in a gorgeous valley and will be used as beautiful light filled art studio.
